Leanne joined the Usona Institute as the Director of Clinical Operations in 2023, based in Madison, WI. In this role, she oversees Usona-sponsored clinical trials, leading a team to ensure the highest standards of clinical study execution.
With over 20 years of experience in Clinical Research, Leanne began her career in the UK, earning her BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from Leeds Metropolitan University. She initiated her career at Covance in Leeds, UK, where she started as a Coordinator within the Phase I Clinical Research Unit shortly after graduation. In 2005, Leanne permanently relocated to the US and continued her career with Covance for many years.
Throughout her career, Leanne has held significant leadership roles within Clinical Research Organizations, gaining extensive experience in Clinical Operations. She has successfully managed global clinical trials across all phases of development and multiple therapeutic areas, with a focus on Neuroscience. Her expertise includes running trials in mood and sleep disorders, anxiety, pain, and neurodegenerative disorders.
