Kajsa oversees communication strategy and implementation at Usona Institute. Her work focuses on developing communication strategies that help the organization’s efforts to explore the therapeutic effects of psychedelics. These strategies include publications, community partnerships, web marketing, social media, media outreach, and conferences.
Prior to joining Usona, Kajsa was an Associate Professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Iowa, where her work focused on studying how different types of communication messages impact environmental and health behavior. Kajsa earned her B.S. from Cornell University and her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
When not at work, Kajsa is usually cooking, hiking, traveling, or making music with her family. Most of all, Kajsa loves storytelling and centers the concept of shared humanity in her work and personal life in order to create meaningful spaces for thoughtful exchange and growth.
